IngateyGen LLC (in-GAH-tay gen) is an agricultural biotechnology company whose mission is to deliver innovative, allergen-free peanuts with improved safety and nutritional value that offer enhanced health and wellness benefits for consumers by partnering with the food value chain to deliver quality products to market. \n \nIngateyGen derives its name from the Akan word for peanut, Nkatee. The Akan language is spoken in parts of Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire. IngateyGen aims to create improved peanut varieties using genetic techniques.\n\nIngateyGen is a portfolio company of AgTechInventures http://www.agtechinventures.com, an agricultural technology innovation lab that further develops and commercializes promising intellectual property in Agbiotech and infotech/precision agriculture.\n\nThe Team\nThe IngateyGen team is composed of 2 principals, the President responsible for the daily operation of the company and its overall strategic mission and a plant Genetic engineer, responsible for the scientific aspect of the work. A part time business developer, a lab technician/greenhouse manager, a webmaster, an accountant, an IP attorney and seasonal students and farm workers hired during planting and harvesting seasons. A board of business advisors (5 members) and a board of scientific advisors (3 members) also contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the company.
