What Is Information Packaging Corporation?

Information Packaging Corporation (IPC) was founded in 1985 by four individuals previously employed in the envelope industry at Boise Cascade. They started the business by providing protective Tyvek® sleeves for 5 1/4" floppy disks. By 1989, Information Packaging was the world's largest manufacturer of disk sleeves. In 1992, as the technology of the computer industry changed, IPC began offering protective sleeves and envelopes for Compact Discs. In January 2002, we began offering a packaging line for DVDs, using the most protective Tyvek® Material available - Tyvek®DVD. In March 2003, we developed a revolutionary multiple disc envelope, the 3-Pocket Envelope and also expanded our Paperboard line to include products that are lined with protective Tyvek®DVD. We also opened up new sales offices in California and Utah to better meet the needs of our West Coast customers. In August of this year we hired a new vice president of sales & marketing to better direct our national and international sales efforts. Information Packaging expanded its offerings in February 2004 to include a line of business and commercial envelopes. In May 2004, the revolutionary DDMailer™ was unveiled. This mailer allows for both printed materials and CDs/DVDs. With its two-sided printing, disc-view window and fold-down design, this direct mailer allows for unique marketing and advertising possibilities.
