What Is Indiana/Kentucky/Ohio Regional Council of Carpenters?

The Indiana/Kentucky/Ohio Regional Council of Carpenters represents more than 32,000 professional tradespeople in 33 locals in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and parts of West Virginia and Tennessee. A proud affiliate of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, which has a century-plus tradition of representing the best of the building trades, the council works in partnership with more than 30,000 contractors, helping them find the best possible talent for their projects. The hallmark of the regional council is three-fold: training, professionalism and partnerships for economic development. Training: is the key to a successful local construction industry. Well-trained professionals are more cost-effective, deliver the best results and help bring about the safest workplaces. By getting the job done right the first time, they actually save money. And safety pays dividends in improved productivity and lower liability costs. We invest heavily in training and make it a top priority. Professionalism: Taking pride in every aspect of our members’ work is paramount. We believe pride in one’s work, when combined with the professional security a union provides, breeds loyalty to one’s employer. Partnership: When we teach our members to view themselves as partners in a project’s success, everyone succeeds—our members, contractors and developers and the communities in which we all live and work. We pride ourselves on flexibility, offering special contract provisions to contractors to help them remain competitive in their local markets. If you’re interested in becoming a member of the IKORCC or a contractor in need of highly skilled labor, we invite you to contact us to learn more.
