What Is Immersive Labs?
Immersive Labs uses training for the 21st Century to close the cyber skills gap. We provide organisations with access to a game-changing cyber skills training platform, through which teams can develop, assess and validate skills - all on-demand. Anytime. Anywhere. Our platform is cloud-based and gives users access to real-world cyber security lab exercises via their browser - not a single software download in sight. What's more, users are expected to conduct independent research in order to complete lab challenges - meaning they actually learn along the way. Users participate in hands-on exercises. Each time they complete all exercises within a lab, they earn badges and compete on a leaderboard - gamified training at its best. The Benefits - Practical training exercises mean employees actually retain knowledge. Research conducted by National Training Laboratories shows that classroom-based / lecture training results in attendees retaining just 5% of the information provided. This is in contrast to a 75% knowledge retention rate for practical learning exercises. - Managers can assess and validate specific skill sets within their organisation, thus spotting obvious strengths and/or weaknesses in capabilities. - Our 'novice to ninja' learning path means organisations can use the Immersive Labs platform to train non-cyber or non-I.T employees in order to identify new talent. - On-demand access to labs means users can train both at work and in their own time. - Same-day labs mean employees get instant access to practical training exercises for the most recent cyber attacks across the globe. - Access to the platform is generally more cost effective than classroom based training courses. - Employees must stay up-to-date with training in order to retain their place on the leaderboard. Skills are continuously tested and validated, providing up-to-date context on employees' skills - something traditional certification doesn't offer.
