What Is Hurricane Consulting?

Established in 1995 and under new management since 2005, HCI is a privately-owned company with a focus on delivering quality staffing and technology solutions. Our employees' commitment to "making it happen", has established HCI as one of the top small business DOD contractors. The company's executive management team has over 100 years of business experience providing services to the Federal Government. HCI is headquartered in Fairfax, VA with principal offices at: Atlanta, Georgia Lapeer, Michigan West Palm Beach, Florida Presently, we have professionals employed across the United States and around the world providing professional services to the Federal Government. HCI is a registered HUBZONE designated business, Small Disadvantage Business (SDB), Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), and a Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Additionally, HCI is a DoD Mentor-Protégé Program (Direct Reimbursed) participant sponsored by the US Army as the Cognizant Military Service. The DoD Mentor-Protégé Program is a 3 year agreement between the primary stakeholders (Sponsor , US Army, Mentor , AT&T, Protégé , HCI) ending in March 2008. The overriding objective of the Army Mentor-Protégé Program is to expand the small business supplier/ industrial base to support the DoD's mission. HCI is an ISO 9001:2000 certified and registered company. The corporate-wide Quality Management System (QMS) implemented as part of ISO provides documented processes to manage daily business operations designed to enhance customer satisfaction through set standards with continual improvements on performance. Managing our government contracts is integral part of our business and we have successfully passed several DCAA audits on the company's pricing structure and cost accounting system. HCI's DCAA compliant accounting software uses job cost accounting system which is directly linked to the government contract management module which performs project cost accounting and automates the process of generating government invoices in Cost Plus, Time and Material (T&M), or Firm Fixed Price (FFP) formats. A unique aspect of HCI, from a small business prospective, is that we can offer a variety of contract vehicles to obtain our technical solutions and/or professional services from our many teaming partners' agency specific indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts to HCI's own prime contracts. HCI is a Prime contract holder of: US Army FIRST (Field and Installation Readiness Support Team) IT Schedule 70 Logistics Worldwide (LOGWORLD) Mission Oriented Business Integrated Services (MOBIS) These contracts are IDIQ contracts that are available for use by Federal agencies worldwide. Under new management since August 2005, HCI's success and projected sustained growth is directly contributable to the company's guiding principle; "creating a deliberate path to success that embodies excellence of service with the utmost of integrity". This guiding principle is woven within the culture of HCI and reinforced by the day-to-day actions of the senior management team led by the President and CEO.
