Known today as the world leader in innovative solutions to air management needs, and having installations around the world, HUNTAIR had humble visions in the beginning. Founder Dave Benson drew up business plans in 1993 shortly after leaving a Northwest manufacturing company and turned to his friend and mentor Ed Hunt for advice and support. Benson named the company HUNTAIR in tribute to Hunt, and launched the company in his basement with three employees and the simple belief that if he assembled the best people in the air treatment industry, listened to and recognized the needs of customers, and provided the best products at a fair price that success would follow. The initial goal was to surpass $15M in revenue in five years, but that number was surpassed in only two. Initially targeting the semiconductor and pharmaceutical industries, HUNTAIR widened its scope to include products for commercial applications in 1999. In 2006 HUNTAIR joined the CES Group™, a leading international designer, manufacturer and marketer of high-quality branded products for ventilation and HVAC.
