Our 5,200 officers and 1,300 civilian employees are a dedicated, enthusiastic group of professionals who proudly serve over 2 million Houston residents. Officers receive a competitive salary with regular salary increases, city-subsidized insurance, 11 paid holidays with an additional 41-61 paid days off per year, tuition reimbursement, as well as retirement plans and a pension plan with early retirement options.
