What Is Hospice Family Care?
Hospice Family Care, Inc. was founded on the belief that all individuals deserve the right to receive intensive care and support in the final phase of life; that this should not be overshadowed by so many restrictions that ultimately prevent those who need help from accessing that help. While all hospice programs are reimbursed and regulated in exactly the same manner - not all hospices are alike! Our co-founders, Nancy Smith and Nancy Turner brought a combined 14 years of hospice experience with them, spanning the years from 1983 when the Medicare Hospice Benefit became part of Medicare Part A, to 1992 when Hospice Family Care was born. Our organization continues to be privately owned by these two RN's and their mission and passion have never wavered to champion for the rights of the terminally ill. Serving more Arizona Communities than any other Hospice. Today, Hospice Family Care has a team of 400 professionals and volunteers who serve patients and their families in 4 Arizona communities. Patient advocacy, extraordinary employee training and support, and a continued attention to meeting the changing needs of the terminally ill are three of the reasons why Hospice Family Care has remained an industry leader over the past 18 years.
