What Is Hivint?

Hivint is a new kind of professional services company, utilising the best of expert consultants, the crowd, and the community, to maximise our impact to clients and reduce unnecessary security spend. Hivint was established in 2015 to fundamentally change the way information security professional services are provided and consumed in the Australian market. Today's approach to cybersecurity is "every man for themselves," which is illogical in the threat environment we are facing. We believe "community driven security" is the future of information security management. Through "community driven security," we are making available high-quality security advisory and assurance services to a wide range of Australian businesses and organisations who previously have been unable to justify the expense. Our name, Hivint, is derived from Hive Intelligence, and in the same way the collective knowledge of the beehive goes far beyond the knowledge of the individual bees at any point in time, we provide our customers with a level of security resource and advice that they could not individually achieve, from our expert consultants, from the crowd, and from our client community. Hivint takes advantage of leading edge technologies in order to maximise efficiency and effectiveness. Service delivery can be either highly personalised, or highly automated, or a mix of the two. To achieve high automation, customers will be able to interact with Hivint via a secure portal - "Security Colony" - as well as through traditional consulting. Hivint can substantially improve the return on investment (ROI) of your security spend, and at a community level is much more economically efficient. Our model can even solve compliance and governance problems for your organisation before you realise you have them: addressing "policy and procedural zero days". Quality, consistency, and reliability. These are the key traits our clients expect from Hivint and that we deliver every day.
