It's true! Our founder had just gotten engaged but didn't want to get married at a typical church or courthouse. However, way back then, finding a detailed list of venue options was impossible. (This was pre-internet, if you can imagine!) She decided she'd create that resource she so desperately needed—and with that "I can do this!" attitude and entrepreneurial spirit, our company was born. Today, we're a team of Type-A women obsessed with bringing the very best information to couples planning their wedding. We want to make sure they have a handle on ALL their venue options, presented in our signature streamlined-yet-sassy style. We're proud to have invented the "local wedding website" almost 30 years ago—and to have created the Girl Power work environment we have today.
