Henise Tire Service, Inc. was founded in 1957 at its present location in Cleona, PA. The original facility consisted of a one room school house with a retread shop in the basement, a tire storage area and an office on the main floor. This building was expanded many times through the years. Originally a full service tire dealer, the company phased out retail and passenger tire sales in the mid-1970's to concentrate on the growing commercial market. In 1980, the retread shop was moved into its present location behind the original building. To provide for future growth, the central warehouse was added to the retread plant in 1993. The company acquired the Unger Bros. Tire Company in Annville in 1982. This acquisition included an ownership interest in the Hercules Tire & Rubber Company of Findlay, Ohio and returned Henise Tire Service to the passenger tire business. The company purchased the L.J. Allen Tire Co. in York, PA in 1984 adding a second retail store and also our second commercial truck service center. To provide for future growth, the central warehouse was added to the retread plant in 1993. In August of 2004 the company opened it's third commercial tire and truck service location in Bensalem, PA. And most recently, opened it's forth commercial tire and truck service location in Allentown, PA in March of 2007. Today, Henise Tire Service meets the needs of four diverse groups of tire users. The company serves the trucking industry and private carriers with new tires, retreads, and complete tire services through the commercial centers in Cleona, York, Bensalem and Allentown. An outside sales force supported by our own fleet of delivery and service trucks enhances our customer service. Henise Tire also serves the automotive repair industry through a wholesale tire business. The company distributes Hercules, Michelin®, Goodyear®, BFGoodrich®, Uniroyal®, Medalist®, and Yokohama ® tires to garages, new and used car dealers, gas stations, and other tire dealers. To serve the needs of off highway tire users Henise Tire offers new and retread farm implement tires and wheels for farm equipment manufacturers and dealers. The company also provides heavy equipment operators with new tires, tire repair and tire service for construction, mining, and other off road operations. Henise Tire Service serves the retail consumer through its two tire and auto service centers offering tires, alignments, brakes, exhaust repair, PA state inspections and many other undercar services. In the future, we will continue to expand our existing market segments as well as looking for new opportunities where our expertise and abilities allow us to further diversify. However, while we believe in diversity, we will continue to diversify within our core business only.
