Henderson Collegiate is a free public charter school with a proven track record of empowering students from low-income households to succeed academically. Open to all students within the state, Henderson Collegiate seeks to serve primarily those students who are historically the most under-served in education, and provide them with the skills to become better people, attend and graduate college, and change the world. Henderson Collegiate opened in the summer of 2010 with a 4th grade class (called the Pride of 2019) of 100 students. Currently, the school serves grades K,1, and 4-11, and will add on a new grade level each year until it spans grades K-12. Located in rural Vance County, NC, Henderson Collegiate is committed to the idea that all students can learn and create a future for themselves that is full of opportunities by attending and graduating from the colleges of their choice.
