Helmkamp Construction Company is a full service General Contractor with Construction Management and Design Build experience. We have been serving the St. Louis and Metro East construction markets since 1938. Our focus is working for customers in the private market who buy construction yearly in a repeat professional manner. We have the ability to self perform excavations, pile driving, demolition, concrete foundations and slabs, structural steel, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, millwright equipment installations, and laser alignment/precision leveling tasks. We perform work in the following private markets; Automotive, Building, Civil, Educational, Food & Beverage, Healthcare, Industrial, Labs, Renovations, and Telecommunications. Helmkamp has national capabilities and is qualified to do business in a number of states. Our main marketing emphasis is placed on Illinois and Missouri, particularly the St. Louis metropolitan area. However, due to customer requests, we have experienced recent ventures in Indiana, Georgia, Ohio and Minnesota. Helmkamp has a staff of 25 management, estimating and engineering personnel and employs up to 200 hourly workers from various trades on an average annual basis. Corporate offices are located at #1 Helmkamp Drive, Wood River, Illinois, 20 minutes northeast of the St. Louis, Missouri central business district. Helmkamp Construction Company works with the owner to determine the best contract for the project, and serves as the prime contractor or construction manager on conventional, design/build, and/or fast track projects under a negotiated or competitive bid basis.
