The Helicos® Genetic Analysis System is the first technology capable of true direct RNA, cDNA and DNA measurements available to the scientific community. Helicos True Single Molecule Sequencing (tSMS™) and Direct RNA Sequencing (DRS™) technologies provides a direct measurement of billions of individual RNA/DNA molecules with high accuracy, simplicity, and scale. Our technologies require no amplification, ligation, cDNA synthesis (for Direct RNA Sequencing) or other complex sample manipulation, and eliminate the biases associated with amplification-based sequencing techniques.
