What Is Healthy Beginnings?

Healthy Beginnings was established in 1993 as a Christian, non-profit medical outreach to under-resourced women in Greater Cincinnati who were at risk for poor pregnancy outcomes or abortion. From inception, our operational purpose has been to provide high-quality, life-affirming medical care to low-income women in a private office setting. Services include: - Attentive, personal prenatal care provided by Certified Nurse Midwives and Nurse Practitioners - Delivery at Good Samaritan Hospital (St. Elizabeth for Kentucky patients) - High Definition ultrasounds - Appointments prior to Medicaid approval to help women access prompt care - Low-cost care options for those ineligible for Medicaid and without private insurance - Loving, Christian environment - One-on-one nutritional guidance from Registered Dietitians - Gift bag of baby items at postpartum visit
