What Is Health Commons Project?
Health Commons Project is a Washington State member-owned, non-profit committed to accelerating equitable access to health and social care. To achieve this mission, Health Commons operates a Public Health Accelerator Program that helps communities design, develop, and launch new services. In 2020, Washington State Department of Health hired Health Commons Project to accelerate equitable access to COVID-19 testing across Washington State. Using our proven model, we helped communities recruit local labor, raise capital and access the best science and technology on the market. To date, we’ve served communities in Seattle-King, Snohomish, Benton Franklin, Tacoma-Pierce, Yakima and Clark counties and enabled over 200,000 COVID-19 tests across Washington State. In 2021, Health Commons is expanding our Public Health Accelerator Program to include additional communities and the Gates Foundation’s “Learn to Return†program to safely opening school districts. We remain focused on helping Washington State communities develop a better Pandemic Response System for COVID-19 and future outbreaks. We succeed when Washington communities succeed.
