Hawthorne House is a lighting, fine furnishings and decorating boutique appropriately residing in a distinctive historic house build of granite and marble on Milledge Avenue in Athens, Georgia. For nearly a decade, the Hawthorne House Galleries have combined collections of such notable brands as Hickory Chair, Lee Industries, Century Furniture & Visual Comfort Lighting with an array of antiques, art and special artisanal pieces. Within the Milledge Avenue location, over 1,200 square feet of combined ceiling, wall and floor space has been designated as a Visual Comfort Lighting Gallery. The appointed rooms feature lighting collections by such noted designers as Aerin Lauder, Alexa Hampton, Thomas O'Brien, Suzanne Kasler and the Studio Collection, making Hawthorne House the largest gallery of this type in the area. The decorating gallery is layered with samples of long established labels such as Lee Jofa, Cole & Son and Brunschwig & Fils and current tastemakers of finishes such as Hable Construction, Katie Leede and Clay McLaurin. This inspired collection of fabrics, trims, floor and wall coverings provides an exceptional environment for infinite design and decorating possibilities.
