The Vision is a cutting edge, student run, award-winning program. It has been recognized on the national, regional, and statewide level as being creative and professional, as well as having media literate, fun and hard working students. We are one of the leaders in High School TV Production. \r\n\r\nAt The Vision we tape events at Haslett High School and the surrounding community. We cover everything from Gymnastics to Football, plays to concerts, DARE Graduation to Board Meetings. Students from the elementary schools come to the studio to work on projects. The students in the Intro To Media Issues classes at the High School are learning Media Literacy skills that will help them in our media saturated society. Students in the Advanced TV Production Classes are using the latest in Digital Video equipment and producing videos that have won State, Regional and National Awards. They are learning critical thinking skills, the creative process, media literacy, writing, computers, video composition, lighting, digital editing, troubleshooting, team work, story boarding, professionalism, hard work, dedication, and much more! \r\n\r\nComcast Cable company provides us with a channel (22) that is cablecast from the High School to community residents. The community can watch their students perform on The Vision, find out what is going on in the district, get information on community education courses, school closings, weather, and more.
