The Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office is a fire protection/law enforcement agency that provides essential public safety services, primarily in unincorporated areas of Harris County. HCFMO relies on a “customer first” operating philosophy to achieve agency goals, balance community risks from fires or other emergencies, and encourage strong, sustainable economic development. \n\nThe Fire Marshal is appointed by Commissioners Court to a term not to exceed two years.
