Habitat for Humanity Revenue and Competitors

Thanks to Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI), more than 750,000 people around the globe know there's no place like home. Founded in 1976 by Millard and Linda Fuller, the not-for-profit, ecumenical organization has built more than 150,000 homes worldwide. Families who demonstrate a need and are willing to invest several hundred hours of "sweat equity" during construction can qualify to help build their own homes. The families also make mortgage payments on no-interest loans, and HFHI funnels the money back into the construction of new homes. Former President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn have established the Jimmy Carter Work Project for HFHI and donate one week of their time to HFHI each year.
