Too many children enter school not ready to learn because there was little to no daily reading or talking in their homes from birth. Most never catch up resulting in increased rates of remedial attention, school failure, and incarceration. The lack of parent engagement is a key challenge facing schools and our students. HOME WORKS! The Teacher Home Visit Program partners families and teachers for children's success. We train, support, and help pay teachers of low-performing students to go to their homes to get parents engaged in their education.
