HNTB, founded in Kansas City in 1914, provides full architecture, engineering and planning services to public and private sector clients throughout the United States and abroad. HNTB Kansas City, the firm’s oldest and largest office, has been providing engineering services for nearly 86 years. In 1975, HNTB merged with Kivett & Myers, one of Kansas City’s most respected architectural firms, to create HNTB’s architectural practice. This practice has continued to grow and diversify, particularly with the recent acquisition of Mackey Mitchell Zahner Associates, another well-respected Kansas City architecture firm.
