In the heart of Nice, in the old town, behind high stone walls, lies an early 17th-century convent which is waking from its decades-long slumber.\n\nNestled within a natural Mediterranean oasis of almost 2.5 acres, this haven of peace within the bustle of Nice is being lovingly and carefully restored under the keen eye of Perseus founder Valéry Grégo.\nThe renaissance of this ancient sanctuary will take place in summer 2024, when it will become Hôtel du Couvent, a new kind of luxury hotel the likes of which we have never seen before on the Riviera.\nMuch more than a place to stay, Hôtel du Couvent is a hidden place within the town, where guests can consult an onsite herbalist, amble around the gardens, visit the farm which supplies the hotel’s fruit and vegetables, or dip into the open air pool of the Roman baths.\n\nA singular place that invites the traveller to experience the history, tranquillity, architecture, and authenticity of a forgotten landmark.\n\nWonder like nowhere else.
