Our mission is to equip, empower & educate blind or vision impaired Queenslanders. Guide Dogs is an icon of Australia, with our Guide Dogs being the ambassadors for all services we provide. Guide Dogs Queensland provides services to help people who are born or develop later in life eye diseases that cause low or no vision. There is no cure. Blindness does not discriminate, nor do we, we help anyone, anytime and anywhere throughout Queensland. We help elderly, young women and men, and children navigate their world independently through many different services. Ultimately, we help people overcome the disadvantage of vision loss to live full and independent lives and ironically providing independence is dependant on our suppawters. Guide Dogs Queensland is the only service provider in Queensland that offers this complete range of rehabilitation services, right across metropolitan hubs along with regional offices in Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, Bundaberg, Toowoomba and on the Gold and Sunshine Coasts.
