The Israel Economic Mission provides a direct link between the Israel and U.S. business and financial communities. Our goal is to manage the Government of Israel's U.S. Dollar denominated debt, expand bilateral trade and investment and provide the timely information that executives in both countries need to conduct business together. Headquartered in New York City, we represent the two key government bodies charged with Israel’s economic development: the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor. Under the leadership of the Chief Fiscal Officer to the Western Hemisphere, the Ministry of Finance mission in New York is charged with the following responsibilities: 1. Raising foreign currency in international markets for the government of Israel through bond and loan guarantee offerings. 2. Managing a large portion of the State of Israel’s foreign debt. 3. Overseeing State of Israel Bonds organization activities and fundraising initiatives worldwide. 4. Serving as the key liaison to the U.S. financial community. 5. Organizing conferences in North America about Israel’s economy. 6. Managing budgets, personnel and administrative issues.
