Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE (GOTAFE) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO Number 3094) which was officially formed in October 1996 through the amalgamation of the Goulburn Valley and the Wangaratta Institutes of TAFE. GOTAFE is the largest tertiary education provider in Northern Victoria offering over 250 courses to almost 20,000 enrolled students. Primarily based in Northern Victoria, GOTAFE campuses are located in Shepparton, Wangaratta, Seymour and Benalla. Specialised campuses are located in Warragul, Werribee and Terang. The strength of GOTAFE lies in its experienced, skilled and innovative staff who provide training and skills development to students, industry clients and the wider community through innovative, customised and quality assured training programs. GOTAFE delivers unique programs including the National Centre for Equine Education (NCEE), National Centre for Dairy Education (NCDE) and the GOTAFE Regional Academy of Dramatic Arts (GRADA). Specialised departments including the Centre for Koori Education and the Multicultural Education Centre have been established to meet the needs of Australia’s diverse community. GOTAFE is recognised as leading the way, providing secondary school students with the opportunity to access quality vocational education through collaborative ventures. The Technical Education Centre works directly with regional secondary schools to provide students with an important pathway into a trade career.
