Based in Houston, Global Healthcare Alliance (Global) provides medical billing services to healthcare providers and Web-based claims processing software for IPAs and health plans. In the mid-1990's, CVCP's officers and physicians wanted to take advantage of this payor-provider knowledge and develop technology that would revolutionize medical billing and claims processing. These individuals, including world-renowned heart surgeon, Denton A. Cooley, M.D., founded Global Healthcare Alliance in 1997. This built-in, rules-based technology automatically catches errors to expedite medical claims and billing and claims processing. In 2005, the Emerging Technology and Healthcare Innovations Congress awarded Global with two TETHIE awards for "Technology of the Year" and "Technology for the Improvement of Claims Processing."
