What is Gertens CSA? Gertens CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) consists of a community of individuals who pledge their support to a farming operation where the growers and consumers share the risks and rewards of the growing season. Gertens CSA provides a whole share and a half share option. Whole shares will consist of an assortment of fresh from the field fruits and vegetables that are superior in quality and standards and will feed a family of 4-6, half share will feed 2-3. Shares will be ready for pickup weekly from mid-June through mid-October. Any produce not picked up is automatically donated to a local food shelf. When picking up your share you can opt to leave behind anything you may not want. All of this food will also go directly to the less fortunate at a local food shelf. We aim not to stop the worlds hunger problem, but together we can feed our less fortunate neighbors. We will also be a drop off point for gardeners to donate their excess produce.
