General Industrial is an independently owned full-line distributor of quality production, MRO, and safety supplies. Our company was established in 1954 by two young men, Charles Sawin and Dean Hoelck, who both graduated from USC on the G.I. Bill after having served in World War II. Their vision was to service the needs of industrial manufacturers in a rapidly expanding Southern California aerospace marketplace. That tradition continues today as Chuck’s family remains at the helm of General Industrial. They and their dedicated staff, have grown the services to include a MRO municipal division, a contract division focusing on value-added cost savings, an internet division of power tools and accessories, and a wholesale distribution division which serves the contractor and construction markets. As service has expanded, our customers and their satisfaction remain the priority at General Industrial.
