The Olympian is not just our school symbol, it is a spirit we embody — where success is measured by both achievement and participation. Camaraderie and a mutual commitment to each other’s progress and well-being is central to who we are. Our 1,500 students come from varied circumstances and all sorts of backgrounds. Yet when they are on campus, they are a close-knit family. Along with teachers and staff, they support one another along their journeys. That solidarity is the reason our alumni keep in touch. In fact, many have come back here to work in our classrooms and administration. No matter where Gateway students want to go in life — college, trade school, or straight into work — they leave here with the education and the confidence, to tackle the world.
