GateHouse Media, Inc. is one of the largest publishers of locally based print and online media in the United States. Our business model is to be the pre-eminent provider of local content and to make our print and electronic products the leading source for local information and advertising in the markets we serve. GateHouse Media now owns over 430 community publications located in 18 states across the country, and more than 230 related websites reaching approximately 9 million people on a weekly basis. In addition to our core products, we also opportunistically produce niche publications that address specific local market interests such as recreation, sports, healthcare and real estate. Our print and online products focus on the local community from both a content and advertising standpoint. Due to our focus on small and midsize markets, we are usually the primary, and sometimes sole, provider of comprehensive and in-depth local information in the communities we serve. Our content is primarily devoted to topics that we believe are highly relevant to our audience such as local news and politics, community and regional events, youth sports and local schools.
