GMI Insurance Services (GMI) was founded in 1980 by Norman Trudel, when he saw a need for monoline business auto insurance designed specifically for classes of business that had difficulty placing general liability and workers’ compensation lines. Over the years, GMI added Auto Rental Fleet, Contingent Auto, and most recently CyberPRO, cyber security coverage, to its coverages. Working with independent agents and brokers across the US, GMI’s commercial transportation coverage is underwritten by Admitted A.M. Best “A†rated Markets. GMI Insurance Services owns and operates US Choice, auto and trucking rental systems, and Corporate Claims Service, an independent claims administrator specializing in transportation-related claims.
