What Is Florida Collegiate Summer League?

The Florida Collegiate Summer League is a 501c3 non-profit summer wood bat baseball league for college players, following NCAA sanctions and partially funded by Major League Baseball. In 13 years, more than 360 of our players have been drafted or signed by MLB teams, and 18 have reached the Majors. We operate six teams in the Central Florida area ... Altamonte Springs Boom, DeLand Suns, Leesburg Lightning, Sanford River rats, Winter Garden Squeeze and Winter Park Diamond Dawgs. The league operates all teams except the Lightning, which is funded and operated by the city of Leesburg. Each summer we hire more than 30 college interns to help with gameday operations. More than 70,000 fans enjoy our ballgames each summer. For more information on FCSL, please visit www.floridaleague.com.
