R.B. Fitch started Fitch Creations, Inc. in 1960, and began creating Fearrington VillageTM in 1974. Fitch Creations, Inc. continues to be a family business, run by R.B. and assisted by his daughter Keebe and son Greg. Located just down the road from the college town of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Fearrington Village encompasses a real estate community and thriving Village Center. Set on a former dairy farm, the boutique shops, restaurants, inn, spa and special events venues are open to the public. As both Fearrington’s builder and developer, R.B. Fitch oversees the real estate development throughout Fearrington Village with the help of Fitch Creations, Inc.’s team, from sales to design to construction, many with more than 20 years experience with the company. Fitch Creations, Inc. also owns and manages most of the businesses in the Village Center, including The Fearrington House Inn and Restaurant, The Spa at Fearrington, McIntyre’s Books, Dovecote Style, The Fearrington Granary Restaurant, The Belted Goat deli, Roost beer garden and special events productions (including weddings and corporate events).
