Ferguson Construction Company has opened an office at 4348 Reynolds Drive in Hilliard, Ohio to serve Columbus & the surrounding counties. Ferguson Construction Company, Sidney, Ohio has been in business since 1920. They have had an office in Dayton, Ohio since 1960. The company is a full-service, design-build general contractor that serves the industrial, commercial and the institutional markets. The company presently employs over 300 people in their three offices. Martin L. Given, President of Ferguson Construction Company stated that "Ferguson Construction Company has selected Columbus as the site of a new office to not only help grow the company's revenues but also to provide career opportunities for our employees." Ferguson is one of the few general construction companies in central Ohio that self-performs much of the construction work with its own forces, ie., concrete, carpentry, masonry and steel erection. Year after year this full-service capability has resulted in over 70% of our business coming from repeat customers. In fact, one of Ferguson's repeat customers, Ball Corp., whom Ferguson built for in Findlay, Ohio, recently selected Ferguson to design and construct their new building addition in Columbus. This 139,000 sq .ft. project is being built at the Ball facility on Charter Street and is scheduled to be completed May 15, 2003. On another area project, Ferguson was recently honored with an Award of Excellence by the Associated Builders & Contractors (Ohio Valley Chapter) for the design and construction of Jefferson Industries Corporation's (West Jefferson, Ohio) stamping plant addition & the installation of an equipment foundation for a 3,000 ton press. Managing the Columbus operation is Tom Rossi, Vice President. Tom has been with Ferguson for 16 years. He is a graduate of Ohio State University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Working with Tom is Stan Corl, Business Development Representative. Stan has lived in Columbus for 35 years and has worked in the construction industry during that time. He is also a graduate of Ohio State University with a B.S. in Industrial Design. Bill Woodrum, a seven-year employee of Ferguson Construction who has an Associates Degree of Applied Science from ITT, is project estimator.
