What Is FT Technologies?

FT Technologies makes the world's toughest wind sensors. All our ultrasonic anemometers incorporate our patented Acu-Res® technology which delivers reliable speed and direction data from compact sensors that will operate in the toughest conditions. \n\nWe pride ourselves on the excellence of our engineering and the quality of our manufacturing processes and our products. We continue to invest in product development and are conducting leading-edge research into acoustics, transducers, aerodynamics, materials, coatings and environmental protection. \n\nOur FT7 Series wind sensors are the only wind sensors specifically designed for turbine control. We are a major supplier of wind sensors to the wind energy industry and the FT702LT is used in serial production by over 20 wind turbine manufacturers. We believe that these sensors are the most thoroughly tested on the market and this is how we can justify our claim that the FT7 Series are the world's toughest wind sensors. \nOur FT7742-SM sensor is designed to be incorporated in other manufacturers’ own equipment to provide compact, rugged high-quality air flow measurement indoors or outdoors. The FT742-SM is used in a wide range of air flow sensing applications from defence and vehicle and ship-based systems to clean rooms.\n\nOur latest product, the FT205, is the first in a new generation of lightweight ultrasonic wind sensors. Made from a graphite and nylon composite, and weighing only 100g (3.5oz), it has been specifically designed for use on drones and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Although light, the compact size and shape of the FT205 makes it physically very strong. It is resistant to vibration, shock, electrical interference and is also fully-sealed and water-resistant. It can operate at altitudes up to 4000m and at temperatures between -20°C and +70°C.
