AIDS Community Services is a not for profit community based organization committed to ending the AIDS epidemic and minimizing its effects in the eight counties of Western New York. We provide medical, supportive and prevention services in a comprehensive model that encourages individuals to take responsibility for their health and quality of life. ACS is a participating member of the Evergreen Association of Western New York, Inc. We are committed to developing partnerships with other providers to develop and maintain healthy communities. ACS, the only not for profit organization recognized, received this award for development of a program that has improved access to, and quality of, medical services in under served areas. The Community Foundation of Greater Buffalo awarded ACS an Honorable Mention for Special Recognition for its Burt Flickinger Non Profit Collaboration Awards. City of Buffalo Preservation Board presented their Award for Best Historic Restoration to ACS for our newest office, the Victorian, at 200 South Elmwood Avenue. Ronald T. Silverio, President & CEO has been named Business First's 2004 Business Leadership Awards' Individual Business Leader. Best Historic Restoration from the Business First Brick by Brick Awards Program.AIDS Network of WNY recognized ACS with the Red Ribbon Award for Outstanding Community Service. In 2007 Marsha D. Jackson, AIDS Community Services Board Chair received the OFFICIAL AWARD OF EXCELLENCE from Everywoman Opportunity Center, Inc.
