What Is Epiphany Center / San Francisco (Mount St. Joseph St. Elizabeth)?

Since 1852, Epiphany Center, formerly known as Mount St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth's has been helping San Francisco's most marginalized women and children heal from substance abuse, mental illness, chaotic parenting, homelessness and intergenerational poverty. Epiphany Center provides a safe and spiritual place for a woman to transform her life of trauma and pain into a life that's truly worth living. Today, over 3,200 children are homeless or at imminent risk in San Francisco. The 2nd most common cause of homelessness is parental substance abuse. Each year over 400,000 infants are born prenatally exposed to alcohol and drugs. Substance abuse accounts for over 1/3 of the reason that children enter the child welfare system. But we envision a future in which families stay together and heal together! Because of our programs, families avoid foster care after trauma threatens to tear them apart, and children who were prenatally exposed to drugs and alcohol are given the extra attention and resources they need to flourish. WE ARE CURRENTLY HIRING: - Preschool Childcare Teacher (Full-Time) - Lead Residential Treatment Counselor (Full-Time) - Residential Counselor (Full-Time, Relief) - Accounting Assistant (Part-Time) Read the job descriptions & apply here: http://www.theepiphanycenter.org/get-involved/employment/
