What Is Engineering Undergraduate Society of McGill University?

The Engineering Undergraduate Society of McGill University, Inc. (EUS) is a non-profit corporation which responds to the requests of undergrad engineering students. Period. Here at McGill, we have over 150 volunteers spread over 45 committees which serve students in a variety of ways. There are countless different possibilities in which you can take a bigger part in making sure that students in engineering not only get their formal education, but continue to have the opportunity to face challenges and create life-long memories. The EUS is relevant for you from basically any angle, whichever one falls with your interests. From a social perspective, by joining one committee you will immediately meet 25 people in engineering you never knew before. From a development angle, you will develop skills not taught in the classroom. These include working in a team, resolving personality conflicts within your group at times, and the coordination of individual efforts in order to achieve a common goal - the list goes on and on. If you are a career person, these skills are the prime focus of employers. You will all get the same B.Eng. so they are looking for people who can work with others and make their mark. They will teach you all the technical information you need to know. 95% of graduates Graduates ranging from the ages of 25-50 say that they have used about 10% of what they learned in school and 90% of what they have learned through personal experiences with people.
