Emerson Independent Video Revenue and Competitors

(EIV) is a student operated television station whose purpose is to allow students to apply learned procedures in a practical environment. This is done by applying these skills in regular or special EIV productions. The intent of the organization is to learn by doing. EIV patterns itself along the real world lines of a television operation. Unlike a student government, which models itself on western parliamentary norms, it is important to realize that this organization runs itself not as a political body but that of a corporate body. As this is the experience these students will face when they are working in the professional world of television, it is our intent to train by running the organization in this ‘real world’ fashion. Our offices, editing suites, and remote closet are all located in the Basement of 150 Boylston Street in the Max Mutchnick Campus Center. Please feel free to schedule time to edit, check out equipment, or use our office space during your time at EIV. This space is for your use, to help better our organization.
