Embassy of Finland in Washington D.C. represents Finland in the United States of America. The main task of the Embassy is to enhance the Finnish-U.S. relationship across the board. This includes political and economic relations as well as contacts and cooperation in culture, science, research, civil society, and citizens. The Embassy also endeavors to strengthen the partnership between the U.S. and Europe, particularly the European Union. We also work to advance the goals of Finland regarding international cooperation more broadly. In addition to the Embassy, Finland has two Consulates General in the U.S. They are located in New York and Los Angeles, and concentrate on promoting trade and investment relations at the state level as well as providing consular services. The Embassy and the Consulates General keep a close contact with the Finnish-American community in the U.S. The Embassy is located in Washington DC, in a beautiful building designed by Finnish architects.
