What Is Eastern Advanced Manufacturing Alliance (EAMA)?

The Eastern Advanced Manufacturing Alliance (EAMA) has a mission to strengthen the regional advanced manufacturing industry by harnessing the collective energy of regional manufacturers through career awareness, workforce development, advocacy, and member education activities. EAMA is a non-profit organization comprised of manufacturers in eastern Connecticut, south central Massachusetts, and northwest Rhode Island. EAMA promotes manufacturing careers and development and advances in manufacturing education, and works with its education and training partners to improve the regional manufacturing workforce. EAMA also creates a platform for its diverse group of more than 35 member companies – which employ more than 12,000 workers – to speak with one voice to advance the region’s manufacturing agenda. EAMA partners with Quinebaug Valley Community College (QVCC), Three Rivers Community College (TRCC), Ella T. Grasso Southeastern Technical High School, and H.H. Ellis Technical High School to increase the capacity and industry-relevance of the region’s primary manufacturing training and educational programs. EAMA works with these educational partners to change perceptions of the manufacturing industry and promote manufacturing careers to youth and adults. EAMA supports its two partner colleges to align their efforts to best meet the needs of all regional manufacturers.
