EDC was founded in 1990 with the objective of providing the highest quality construction management services that would be fully focused upon our clients. Shortly after our founding, EDC was awarded the ongoing development and construction management of a premiere office and research park in southwestern Virginia that today houses over one million square feet in more than twenty-five buildings. Our work there continues today.\n\nIn the years since, EDC has grown to become one of the most respected construction companies in the country, with a geographic reach that covers the entire Eastern United States, and a diversity of expertise in project types that includes retail, office, higher education, theaters, research & development, and grocery. We are consistently ranked as a Top 20 Construction Firm nationally, and we have put in place over 25 million square feet with an annual project value well in excess of $100 million.\n\nEDC value our people second only to our clients. We are fifty plus people strong, of which twenty plus have ownership in the firm.
