A Little About the DBA... The city of Escondido is an amazing area to check out! The Downtown Business Association was founded in 1989. It was originally organized by business owners who wanted to promote the business environment of Escondido. Today, it has exceeded this original goal of cohesion and cooperation between local businesses. Through the promotion and marketing of special events, emphasis on design guidance, preservation of historic artifacts, support of economic development, implementation of security, advocacy of maintenance, and an over-arching goal community advancement, the Downtown Business Association has become a progressive entity within the city of Escondido. The DBA is constantly working to bring those that inhabit and visit the wonderful city together with ever-changing activities to participate in geared towards all the ages.
