What Is Digital Product School?
The Digital Product School (DPS) is a three-month full-time training program created by UnternehmerTUM GmbH. The DPS offers about 100 Product Managers, Interaction Designers, Software Engineers and Artificial Intelligence Specialists per year the possibility to develop unique digital products in interdisciplinary teams. The DPS was brought to life with the nomination of UnternehmerTUM to the Digital Hub Mobility, part of the Digital Hub Initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. In cooperation with industry Partners, the DPS developed this unique concept where the program participants solve specific customer problems and simultaneously gain intensive practical experience. The goal for all teams is to develop a prototype for a digital product that solves a real customer problem. This happens under the guidance of internal and external experts and coaches, who are all considered to be authorities in their field. The teams are greatly mixed. Consisting of employees from selected companies and talented students from all around the world, they are working just like real start-ups with the most modern agile methods and tools. For support, there are always experienced specialists of the DPS core team available. Thereby participants evolve from a “junior†to an “experienced†product developer - in only three months!
