What Is Dick Dyer and Associates?

To Our Midland Friends, When our family opened our first automobile dealership in Columbia in 1969, we felt that we needed to make a commitment in order to be successful. A commitment to our communities, a commitment to our valued employees and, most importantly, a commitment to our most cherished asset: our customers. Forty-eight years later we are operating from our up dated, state-of-the-art facility at 5825 Two Notch Road; a facility made possible by the investment we were able to make, not in bricks, mortar or equipment, but rather in the very people who have allowed us to prosper: those very same employees and, most importantly, our loyal customers. Our renovations and expansion include a showroom capable of displaying a wide array of new and factory certified pre-owned Mercedes-Benz and Volvo vehicles; spacious new sales offices; an expanded service and repair shop that is climate-controlled to give our employees a comfortable, efficient work environment; and then there is the loneliest room in the dealership: our customer lounge. You may look at this waiting area and wonder why it is so rarely utilized. After all, it contains comfortable furnishings, numerous reading materials, a gourmet coffee machine and two large, flat-screen TVs. But the answer is quite simple: any customer who makes an appointment and brings in his or her Mercedes-Benz or Volvo for service or repair is provided a loaner vehicle so that he or she may go about the day in a normal, unhurried fashion. No waiting, no asking a friend or family member to pick them up, no riding about in a shuttle bus. We maintain a fleet of more than 100 Mercedes-Benz and Volvo vehicles in order to ensure that we are able to meet this commitment. We like our customer lounge just fine, but we enjoy seeing our customers drive away in a provided loaner vehicle so much more. Sincerely, Dick Dyer
