Our vision is to be a world-leading department for research, education and innovation in electrical and computer engineering, creating a positive and visible impact on society and the environment through interdisciplinary collaboration, excellence and diversity. \n\nElectrical and computer engineering are closely related technical science disciplines focusing on research into hardware and software technologies. We focus on research and development activities in the fields of communication and networks, control and automation, photonics, signal processing, software and IT systems, robot technology, medical technology, health technology, electrical energy technology, and acoustics and sound technology.\n\nMany of our research and development activities are based on the specific innovation needs or specialist application areas of specific companies. We collaborate closely with the public sector and private companies to ensure that the knowledge and technology generated in the department’s research environments has a clear anchoring in reality and benefits society as a whole. We also provide research-based public sector consultancy on technology in the agriculture and food area. \n\nWe educate BEng, BSc and MSc graduates in engineering.\n\nENGINEERING DEGREE PROGRAMMES:\nBachelor of Engineering (in Danish):\n– BEng in Electronic Engineering (Aarhus and Herning)\n– BEng in Electrical Power Technology (Aarhus and Herning)\n– BEng in Software Technology\n– BEng in Healthcare Technology\n\nBachelor of Science in Engineering (in Danish):\n– BSc in Computer Engineering\n– BSc in Electrical Engineering\n\nMaster of Science in Engineering: \n– MSc in Computer Engineering (in English)\n– MSc in Electrical Engineering (in English)\n–MSc in BioMedical Engineering (in Danish)\n\nThe department was established in January 2021 at the Faculty of Technical Sciences at Aarhus University.
