What Is DandD London?

D&D LONDON is one of Europe's leading high quality restaurant groups. D&D owns and operates restaurants in London, Paris, New York and Tokyo and a London hotel. D&D stands for Des and David, who led the buyout of Conran Restaurants in September 2006. Since then the restaurant group has gone from strength to strength, opening ten new restaurants in London, Japan and Leeds. In 2011 D&D launched Cinnamon Candy, an external catering and party planning company and September 2012 saw the opening of D&D's first hotel, the 80-bedroom South Place Hotel located between Moorgate and Liverpool Street in the City of London. In the same month the group transformed a former East India Company warehouse in the City into two new restaurants, a bar and wine shop. In March 2013 D&D opened their first UK restaurants outside of London, in the cosmopolitan city of Leeds. Crafthouse and Angelica, which occupy the fifth and sixth floors of the new Trinity Leeds development in the centre of the city. In May 2014 Madison was purchased. A spectacular rooftop combination of restaurant bars and terraces overlooking St Paul's Cathedral, it offers outstanding views of the London skyline. October saw the relaunch of iconic restaurant Quaglino's in St James's after a multi-million pound refit. Autumn 2015 will see the launch of The German Gymnasium in the Kings Cross redevelopment area. Constructed in 1865, it was England's first purpose-built gym and the spectacular Grade II listed building will be transformed into a complex of restaurants and bars, complete with extensive outside terraces. Looking ahead into 2016, D&D London developing a restaurant in the Buchanan Galleries in Glasgow as part of Land Securities'”‹ £300m redevelopment of the site, which houses the Glasgow Concert Hall.
