With community residents leading the way, the mission of Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation is to build a strong, sustainable Cypress Hills/East New York, where youth and adults achieve educational and economic success, secure healthy and affordable housing and develop leadership skills to transform their lives and community. \r\n\r\nAnnually, we work with more than 8,000 residents through a comprehensive range of programs. These include: affordable housing development; foreclosure prevention, first-time homebuyer and tenant counseling; community organizing for youth and adults; afterschool and other youth development programs; career readiness training and counseling; college access and persistence counseling; ESL and GED classes; and more.
