Covington International Travel is a woman-owned business and a full-service travel agency founded in 1967 by Josée Gallé Covington. Our management team, a group of diverse and experienced travel industry professionals, is committed to excellence. Mrs. Covington is a perfectionist whose personal style sets the tone for our way of doing business - we focus on quality as well as cost containment, and we make travel arrangements for our clients as if we were making them for ourselves. Mrs. Covington, a native of Luxembourg and a naturalized United States citizen who has traveled extensively, knows the travel industry inside out. She has made "growth" a Covington byword since the early days when the company had a little office in downtown Richmond staffed by two - during the era of handwritten tickets, when the only technology was the telephone. Today, we are in the top 25 U.S. travel management companies as ranked by airline ticket sales, and are regarded as one of the premier travel agencies in the United States. Our staff includes 95 seasoned experts in four Virginia locations: downtown Richmond, suburban Richmond (Glen Allen), Charlottesville and Newport News.
